Exile of the word/ II

Babel. Ba Ba Ba. Blah Blah Blah. To talk without intent, to speak nothing as a nothing that speaks.

As language becomes the vehicle of interaction, subjectivity grows. In the shadow of the subject, meaning, the signified, is swallowed by meaning/less. When speech loses it’s capacity to convey the contours of an elusive essence, it becomes a game, language games.

The subjectivity of the ego, violently battling for it’s place in the center, claims to be the true guardian of the words gift. Speech- having made room for subjective relation/relative subjection-loses all traces of objectivity, and the transcendental signified, the center of meaning is repressed.

After Babel, after the fall of speech, the disharmonious shatter of unity, the word was exiled for the first time.
